July 27, 2004 - Cement foundation is poured.  Blessed medals are placed into the wet concrete.

  July 8, 2004 - Standing water is discovered.  A drainage system is put in place as well as a culvert to direct any overflow into the creek.

June 23, 2004 - Bouten Construction site trailer arrives.  Bouten is no stranger to the Monastery.  They have a long standing relationship with the sisters at St. Gertrude.

June 17, 2004 - Blessing of the trees that will be cut to make room for Spirit Center-The Stewardship of the Land Committee prepared a blessing for the four trees along the driveway that will be cut down.
