>The Artist’s Prayer: Exploring Spirituality through Creative Expression
July 12– 16, 2010     Monday 7:30 pm – Friday 11:00 am
Presenter: Karla Neumann Smiley

Learn about prayer and art traditions in the Christian faith as well as other faiths through the tactile, visual and spiritual. Retreatants will create their own visual prayer. No previous art or prayer experience needed. Materials will be provided.
Suggested Donation: $335 single/$540 shared

Explore ways to live in a more holistic way in such daily activities as eating, praying, using essential oils, herbs, making salves.

St. Gertrude’s Academy Class Reunions

Class of 1970
July 30 - August 1, 2010
Friday - Sunday at 1:30 pm

The class of 1970 – the last class to graduate from SGA -- will gather at the monastery for their 40-year class reunion in July. On Friday, July 30, they will share the noon meal with the Sisters and visit with some of their former teachers. The alumni are invited to join the Sisters for Holy Mass in the monastery chapel Saturday night and stay to enjoy the 18th Annual Raspberry Festival, Sunday, August 1.

Class of 1960

The class of 1960 will celebrate its fifty-year reunion on Friday, September 10. Graduates are invited to join the Sisters for the noon meal in the monastery’s refectory to visit with their former teachers. They will travel to Grangeville to enjoy dinner together at Ernie’s Steakhouse that evening.
