Monastery of St. Gertrude Retreats & Sabbaticals

Spirituality

The Benedictine Sisters of the Monastery of St. Gertrude offer a variety of ways to deepen your spiritual faith and relationship with God. These spiritual retreats are offered within our monastic community to help deepen and enhance your spiritual bond with God. A spiritual retreat or sabbatical allows one to set aside time within a Christian community to experience the spirituality within our ministry and to assist you in embracing your own spiritual life.

We offer a variety of retreat topics to fulfill your spiritual retreat experience. Our Spirituality Ministry Team can assist you in choosing the best retreat option to achieve your spiritual goals.

>Private Retreat – Arrange for a time of quiet for a few hours or days. Enter into your own prayerful rhythm. Spiritual direction is available with advance notice.

>30–Day Retreat – Explore your inner landscape, companioned by the wisdom figures of scripture, the mystics and your own memories. Be alone with God, supported by a spiritual director and our monastic community.

>Sabbatical – Create your own Sabbath time with the assistance of a spiritual director. Deepen your relationship with God. Relax into a peaceful rhythm, attend to soul and body through community prayer, massage and t'ai chi; and wander in the forest and gardens amid breathtaking views.

>Outreach Retreats
