“Spending time in a place where you have prayed for so long has a profound effect. I am restored and renewed in this silence.” – retreatant
“It is a quiet place in a noisy world,” says Sister Lillian Englert, retreat facilitator and certified spiritual director. She leads the upcoming “A Sip of Silence” retreat.
While each person has an encounter with silence, they are not necessarily alone. “People can be scared of quiet,” explains Sister Lillian. “That’s why this retreat is in a group so there is support for one another.”
For those fearing to drink a full cup of silence or not able to schedule a longer time, this retreat provides a shorter version of our weeklong “Come to the Quiet” retreats. A dipper of silence may deepen your thirst for more. Facilitators: Sr. Lillian Englert, OSB, and team. Suggested donation: $220 single
